Kentucky Man jailed for child neglect

Sheesh, if laws were this strict when I was growing up, my folks would be serving life in prison.

My mother did the second-degree sunburn thing to me. To this day, she claims that sunblock causes skin cancer… Wish they’d slapped her ass into jail back then.

Too funny.  I remember burning my bare back on the glass panes protecting the fireplace.  My stepmother, in her infinite wisdom, decided that Crisco would make a good balm.  I still have the bacon shaped scar today.

Nivea in my case and I too have the scar to prove it. For some strange reason, I still have this aversion to roasting in the sun.

I don’t know about Kentucky, but in our neck of the woods getting a bad-ass sunburn is easy enough. One of these days I’ll try to fry an egg on the sidewalk.
